Marisa & Daisy’s Little Wonder Lab Policies & FAQ’s:
-
Small-group, inquiry-based sessions where children explore materials, ideas, and questions through hands-on learning.
-
Carefully prepared community indoor and outdoor environments in Berkeley.
-
Our workshops are designed for children ages 2–6 years old. Specific age ranges may vary by class, and program descriptions will indicate the intended age group.
-
We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where all children can participate meaningfully.
We encourage families to share any information about their child's learning style, communication preferences, sensory needs, or accommodations during registration. We are happy to discuss whether our current program structure is a good fit and what supports may be available. Please email us at hello@littlewonderstudio.com
-
At Little Wonder Lab, we view behavior as communication and approach children with patience, respect, and curiosity.
We support children through:
Clear expectations
Gentle guidance
Co-regulation and problem-solving
Developmentally appropriate support
If a child is experiencing ongoing challenges that impact their ability to participate safely or significantly affect the experience of other children, we will partner with families to develop a support plan.
In rare situations where a child is unable to participate safely despite collaborative efforts, we reserve the right to modify enrollment, recommend a different program structure, or discontinue participation.
Our goal is always to work together with families to support each child's success.
-
You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
-
Our workshops may include:
Process-based art
Sensory exploration
STEM investigations
Engineering and building challenges
Nature-inspired experiences
Collaborative projects
Open-ended creative exploration
Each workshop is designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and joyful discovery.
-
Comfortable clothing that can get messy. We regularly explore paint, clay, sensory materials, water, and other creative media. While we take care to provide aprons when appropriate, art and exploration can be delightfully messy!
Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
-
Most workshops are designed as drop-off experiences. Parents or caregivers should remain reachable by phone during the program and arrive promptly for pickup.
For children who may need additional support separating from a caregiver, please reach out before enrolling so we can discuss the best fit.
-
Children must be signed in and out by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult.
For safety reasons, children will only be released to individuals listed on the authorized pick-up form unless prior written authorization has been provided.
-
Enrollment reserves a child’s spot for the full cycle. Missed sessions are non-refundable.
If Little Wonder Lab must cancel a class, families will receive a makeup class, credit, or refund.
-
The health and well-being of all children and staff is a priority.
Please keep your child home if they have:
A fever within the previous 24 hours
Vomiting or diarrhea within the previous 24 hours
A contagious illness
Symptoms that would prevent them from comfortably participating in group activities
Parents are asked to provide current allergy, medical, and emergency contact information during registration.

We'd love to hear from you!
